I bought the speakers 2 months ago, whenever I listens I'm spellbound by the sound this MR4 produces. Most noticeable is the clarity, mid-range although low-end most impressive but acceptable considering its budget. Never would have thought a studio monitor speakers at this price range and definitely worthwhile having them than a normal multimedia speakers on the table whether it's for computer or studio sound testing needs. Only lacking Bluetooth, if it comes free with it, would be a real smash treat from Edifier
I was looking for some monitor speakers in the sweet spot of budget friendly with good sound, and these Edifier MR4's have exceeded my expectations. I was already considering Edifier but when these came up on sale I had to pull the trigger. Very very pleased!
Really impressed with the clarity/semi flat response curve!!! After a few hours of intentional break in at medium to moderate loud levels with orchestral and funk music across the range, they sound even better and the bass is surprisingly good for such small speakers!!!....but balanced, not hyped up like some others do! Assuming will be good for reference speakers for humble home studio projects!!! They get loud enough for small/medium room, but you do have to crank them up to around 7 to get there, but they stay clear and precise sounding!!!! Thumbs up!
The only Con I have is that they pickup frequency interference in my setup whereas I haven't had that issue with other brands I've used over the years. Its not a huge fail, just slightly annoying when its quiet and the speakers are left at 2/3 up and you hear digital feedback too often... not constant, just occasionally annoying (might be my cell phone too close?).
PS, love the white box color for higher end look, also the Music and Monitor modes!

I am not an audiophile so this will be a pretty basic review. It is an upgrade for me from some basic Logitech speakers. I use this with the USB C Apple headphone DAC/dongle into the computer USB-C port which seems to be the recommended budget thing to do.
There is some noticeable white noise when there is no sound coming out at louder volumes (with the front knob), but I have been keeping it under 25% for normal listening so it isn't noticeable. This happens even if it is not connected to the computer.
Overall it is nice and very pretty. Would recommend
Used for computer. Wonderful sound. You need a large desk (or stand or shelf) these are heavy. They look great. I'm not a gamer but I keep these on all day while working at home.
I gave these speakers as a gift to my granddaughter. She loves the great quality of sound while listening to vinyls on her new record player!! I also listened & was impressed
I have a slight hearing issue so I usually have to blast my audio to hear it clearly and these things blew me away with the sound quality without having to put them as loud as I’m used to, and the price alone is a win !
I bought this as a birthday gift for my fianc��. He loves these little speakers very much. The sound is great. Volume control is on the front as is off/on making them convenient. The cable between the two is sufficiently long to span the keyboard, with room to spare. These are great for making beats and the sound quality is very good for little monitors.

Amazing sound quality and craftsmanship. These little speakers have a really wide sound stage and can give you a lot of clarity. The speakers are actually really well constructed. I really like the wooden cabinets. Only wished the wires were a bit longer to allow the speakers to get further apart on my desk.
The Edifier MR4s are excellent speakers. I do not think you can find better speakers for the money. They produce a great sound that covers highs, mids, and lows. They have many ports to allow a variety of devices to the plugin. Connections were relatively easy to understand and get hooked up. Although a Bluetooth connection would be nice, I don��t think they are a necessity.
These MR4 monitor speakers are no slouch. They sound great and look great. Volume and power knobs, aux-in, and headphone-out are on the front. On the back are balanced TRS and RCA inputs. These little speakers are good for normal computer speakers as well as producing.

Great price for the solid quality! These speakers may not have the most exciting highs and deepest lows. They produce natural and flat sounds. I'm using them with my recording equipment, and they work pretty well.
Best speakers I've had. The highs and mids on these speakers are great, the bass is a bit tight but full. I'm impressed with their build and sound quality. There are two listening modes: monitor and music. These modes are accessed by pressing the volume button which also acts as the power button. You can tweak the high and low ends with the controls on the back to fit your listening or mixing profile, which is nice.
